Bio:

Hi, my name is Russell A. Kelly. I've always enjoyed photography but started getting serious about it as an adult late in 2004. I started my photoblog in February of 2005 with the support of my Wife, Family and Friends.

In my 20s I shot countless rolls of my friends skating with a Canon AE-1 that I had picked up at a pawn shop. However as things go and my career as a Web Developer really began to take off, I took a little break from photography.

Photography is my artistic stress relief from dealing with a corporate world. It allows me to capture and share the beauty I see everyday.

I consider myself an Amateur Photographer. However I don't see that as a negative thing. The French form of the Latin root word means "lover of" . So in this sense, an Amateur Photographer is someone who is motivated by a love or passion for photography.

Well my Wife would say I have "the bug" and I guess the cameras I've collected over the past two years prove her point. I currently have five cameras and love shooting with alll of them:
