Slowly I have started to collect a new genre of music. However today I have started adding to the collection with a little more interest. Those who know me, know I have a very wide taste in music, classical to rock, flamenco to country. So what is the new genre? Childrens music. Yes childrens music.

You see today The Little Boy got his first mp3 player. I got it for him from Frys yesterday. It's the iRock MP3ez. It is a sturdy little play that is impressively expandable, and durable. It's also very easy to use.

Anyhow I gave it to the Little Boy this morning and we had to take it off him tonight as he fell asleep. Seeing him walking around the house and singing along just brought a smile to my face all day.

This cool little image is something I made using a cool web tool that lets you have Einstein write anything on the chalkboard you would like.

Walter S. Mossberg of the Wall Street Journal has some nice things to say about the new iPod with Video Playback capability. He says "Our verdict is that this new iPod is an excellent music player. It has all of the strengths that have made prior iPods monster hits, and a few subtle refinements. Plus, it's a surprisingly decent video player, with crisp, smooth vivid playback of TV shows, music videos, short films, video podcasts and home videos." Check Out the Review.

So I am so glad that I have a window see here at work, otherwise I would be in the total darkness. It seems that there is an "issue" at one of the switching stations here near work and suddenly we found ourselves without power. Of course I have a laptop and the network is on the backup generator, so I had to blog!

A very important meeting we have schedule today it still going to take places, we are just all going to cram into one of the few offices that are hooked up to the backup generator. It's all fun.

So I came across this, this morning and I just had to share. Nothing better than 1000 lbs of butter sculpted in to the likeness of Darth Vader and Yoda. Check out the pictures and tell me what you think.

We'll you may or may not have noticed but you were redirected to the new site. So I'm now using Dasblog as for my blog instead of Blogger. This doesn't mean that I don't think Blogger is a great tool, it really is. I blogged for almost two years using Blogger. It is a fantastic tool/site for getting your start on blogging.

So why did I switch. Features. I wanted some more features that Blogger just didn't have yet. I am sure they will, it is just hard to come out with a lot of new features for a user base as large as what Blogger has.  I wanted better search, to be able to categorize my posts, and a few geek things, like be able to tweek the blogging software myself and have xml backups of my blog. Dasblog lets me do that.

That being said, I have imported all of my post from Blogger to Dasblog, so all of the post are here from the beginning. I am working at putting all of the post in categories and work at moving all of the comments over. If it comes down to it I will put them in by hand :-D.

You've also might have notice that new domain name "mydigitalsplendor.com". We'll it has been a while since I had my own domain name, and I just kind of felt like it was time. So not only will this site have my blog on it, and soon my photo blog, but will also be a portfolio. It will have some of my design and coding work. And hopefully some fun stuff as well.

We'll we've made the move, tell me what you think.

So this morning, Sitting with my Beautiful Wife and we saw something that just cracked me up, Tractor Square Dancing. It was simply amazing to see a series of John Deeres, moving in sync with each other and the music, a ballet of music and machinery. It's something that is a perfect example of americana.
